Surround yourself with smart and trustworthy employees. These are people around you who could provide information, advice and counsel. Seek their input, saying, “please enlighten me?” Listen and learn. Appreciate different opinions. Decide on the direction, and then go there together.

Beware of the “no idea is a good idea unless it’s your idea.” Don’t resist or feel threatened when someone else comes up with an idea.
