Innovation

One of the most famous innovators, he was a German-born American physicist and Nobel Prize winner. He had a tendency to reject conformity and instead, questioned conventional ways of thinking. His curiosity led him to appreciate music, philosophy, mathematics, and science. These interdisciplinary interests informed his worldview and approach. He said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.”

Two simple, yet effective approaches Albert Einstein took:

  1. Took the time to reflect (playing violin) in order to foster innovation breakthrough ideas;
  2. Wrote and explained his complex theory to simplify and be more accessible.

He said, “To raise new questions, new possibilities, to regard old problems from a new angle, requires creative imagination and marks real advance in science.”

How do you reject conformity to find new possibilities?
