For leaders, they seek to understand:
- Key patterns amongst the noise and ambiguity
- Multiple stakeholders’ diverse perspectives
- How their hindsight can hel–as well as hinder–their decision making, since the elements and conditions are in continual flux
- An environment that is increasingly complex
